Theatre on the Ridge is excited to welcome Iain Moggach, former artistic director of Theatre by the Bay to his first summer season at Scugog Shores Museum, and excited to return to the compelling work of Vern Thiessen. Iain is no stranger to Port Perry, having directed productions of Salt-Water Moon and Romeo and Juliet at Old Flame Brewery.

Étaples, France, 1918. Nurses Christy, Maggie, and Bab have crossed oceans to care for wounded Canadian soldiers in the Great War. Despite the terrible injuries they must deal with, they manage to stay hopeful as the dangers of the front draw closer to their hospital.
As each woman becomes accustomed to her duties and patients, they reveal more personal details to one another and through letters to loved ones. Through it all, the three women find friendship, independence, power, and influence in a place where men, once again, are trying to destroy the world.

Running time is approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission

Any Idiot Can Face A Crisis: The Comedy of Anton Chekhov

Adaptation by Andy Massingham and the Company.
Directed by Andy Massingham

August 6 – 24, 2025

August 6 – 7 pm (Preview)
August 7-8, 13, 15-16, 20-22 – 7 pm
August 9, 14, 17, 23 – 2 pm
August 10, 24 – 4 pm.

Andy Massingham returns for his 4th season, with a new adapted work created for the company. Andy is the master of physical theatre and clown, and his madcap style is becoming a Theatre on the Ridge favourite. This year, Andy adapts the classic short stories and plays of Anton Chekhov for our dynamic performance tent. It’s Chekhov turned upside down and given the signature touch of inventive, physical, comedic mayhem that only Andy Massingham can deliver.

Running time is approximately 2 hours, including a 15-minute intermission.
Recommended for ages 12+.

Save The Float Fundraiser

For nearly 30 years, the Scugog Santa Claus Parade has kicked off the season with Santa’s magical float... but it’s no longer safe to fly. Between electrical work, structural repairs, fresh paint, and glowing reindeer, we’re looking at $10,000 in upgrades to save this cherished tradition.
So, the Chamber elves are on the case—with a full fundraising campaign AND a Christmas in July “Save the Float” BBQ Party at the Port Perry Farmers' Market on July 5!
Donate just $20 or more and you’ll be entered to win:

We are excited to announce JoJo Mason will be headlining our 10th anniversary of Winding Roads this September 20th!

The core question that drives JoJo Mason’s approach to music and life is, ‘Why not?’. That’s heavily influenced his current single ‘Bottom Shelf’; an immensely hooky country track that finds the Vancouver-based country artist exploring a new direction grounded in his long-time musical fascinations and unfailingly positive outlook.
