*** THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT ***
Join us for a bookish brunch at Wooden Sticks Golf Club (40 Elgin Park Drive, Uxbridge) on Sunday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. with authors Heather Marshall, Genevieve Graham & Kate Hilton. This event will feature the authors' respective new novels: Liberty Street, The Chambermaid's Key, and City of the Muse. Store favourite, Susanna Kearsley, will be in the interviewer chair for this one.
From Heather Marshall - the #1 internationally bestselling Canadian author of Looking for Jane - comes a riveting novel, Liberty Street, about one journalist's harrowing journey into an infamous real-life 1960s women's prison—and the detective who uncovers her story decades later.
From #1 bestselling author Genevieve Graham, “the reigning queen of Canadian historical fiction” (Kristen Harmel, #1 New York Times bestselling author) comes a dazzling novel, The Chambermaid's Key, set at an elegant hotel in Toronto in 1929 about a young chambermaid, a handsome waiter, and a murder that will reverberate for a century.
For fans of The Lost Apothecary, City of the Muse from beloved author Kate Hilton is a gripping dual-timeline novel about the mysterious death of an indomitable female papyrologist during an archaeological dig in the early 1900s and an aspiring young female researcher’s present-day quest to find out who killed her.

Uxbridge Youth Theatre presents Urinetown, The Musical.
You can't say the name without smiling!!! We know, it's not your usual show name, but trust us, Urinetown is worth being curious about!
Winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of social irresponsibility, environmental collapse, privatization of natural resources, bureaucracy, municipal politics, capitalism, and musical theatre itself!
In a dystopian city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must pay to use public amenities regulated by the corrupt corporation, Urine Good Company. Amid the people, a hero decides that he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown will leave you tapping your foot and humming the tunes as you leave the theatre!
Tickets are $30 for adults; $25 for students and include all taxes, ticket fees and Music Hall Improvement Fund.

The Legacy Lives On Tour features CLASSIC LIGHTFOOT LIVE bringing the songs of Gordon Lightfoot to the stage with an impressive seven-piece ensemble, joined by the Lightfoot String Quartet. The addition of a live string section expands the sound and emotional depth of Lightfoot’s timeless catalogue, elevating the concert experience to a new level.
This special performance promises an evening of powerful storytelling, rich orchestration, and a heartfelt celebration of Gordon Lightfoot’s enduring legacy.
Behind The Music: About The Band
CLASSIC LIGHTFOOT LIVE is Canada’s premier tribute to the legendary folk-rock icon Gordon Lightfoot. Featuring an exceptional all-Canadian, multi-instrument band, the show is led by vocalist and guitarist John Stinson, alongside music director and multi-instrumentalist Bob Doidge (Lightfoot’s longtime record producer), bassist Steve Eyers (Lightfoot’s nephew), and lead guitarist Eric Kidd (trained by Red Shea himself).
Founded in 2012 by lead vocalist John Stinson, a longtime Ontario musician, CLASSIC LIGHTFOOT LIVE has earned widespread acclaim for its authenticity. Stinson is praised for his uncanny vocal resemblance to Lightfoot and his meticulous attention to recreating the original studio recordings, delivering a tribute that is both faithful and deeply moving.
“Others can tell, even if they don’t know how or why John’s renditions come off as being so faithful. I’ve been told before, and many did that night, they can’t believe how well John sings Gord’s tunes.” - John Swartz, SunOnlineMedia.ca - Nov 2023.
